Why I started RERISE

Hi, I’m Akbar, founder of RERISE.

I named RERISE at a point in my life when I was rebuilding. The thought in my mind was simple: after every low, there is a rise. That was what the name meant to me.

I also understood a recurring frustration personally. Plain water is essential but during work travel and exercise it can sometimes feel tasteless and not quite satisfying enough.

I was already using electrolyte and vitamin drinks on long working days, when travelling and during exercise. I wanted to develop one myself, with a formulation I had thought carefully about and a taste I would enjoy. That became RERISE.

Much of the branding I came across spoke mainly to intense training. My own days also involved hot London Underground journeys, walking between meetings and hours at a laptop. I wanted RERISE to fit that everyday life too.

I began developing it in June 2025, working with Parkacre on a formula with six electrolytes, vitamin C, vitamin B12, zinc and chromium. The individual sachets made sense to me: something I could keep in my bag and mix into water.

From November 2025 to May 2026, I kept going back to Lemon & Lime. I wanted the citrus and sweetness to feel balanced. Eight people were in the initial tasting group, and I also asked people to compare samples without knowing which brand they were drinking. The feedback I kept coming back to was that it tasted balanced and refreshing, neither too sweet nor too salty. I wanted the first sip to make you want to finish the glass. I needed to enjoy it myself, but I needed other people’s opinions too.

I chose to make RERISE in England with Parkacre in Lincolnshire because I wanted to build a British brand with a product made here.

After more than a year of development, this is the drink I wanted to make for myself. Now I want to hear what you think of it.

Vitamins C & B12. Zinc & chromium.

Vitamins C and B12 are joined by zinc and chromium. These two minerals are used in small amounts, which is why they’re called trace minerals. Open a card to see what each nutrient contributes and how much is in your sachet.

Vitamin CImmune function, collagen & cell protection 115 mg144% NRV

From everyday defence to the structure of skin.

Vitamin C has a familiar place in conversations about the immune system: it contributes to its normal function. Its story reaches further, into the collagen your body makes for the normal function of skin.

Collagen is a structural protein, and vitamin C contributes to its normal formation. Vitamin C also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. These are three distinct roles behind the 115 mg of vitamin C in each RERISE sachet.

Vitamin B12Energy metabolism & tiredness 130 µg5200% NRV

The journey from food to usable energy.

A meal is the beginning of an energy story. Your body still has to process the food and make its energy available to use. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, the name for those everyday processes.

Vitamin B12 also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Each RERISE sachet contains 130 µg in the form of methylcobalamin. For a closer look at the 5200% reference value on the label, follow the explanation below.

ZincSkin, hair, nails & protein synthesis 2.7 mg27% NRV

The detail behind skin, hair and nails.

Skin, hair and nails are familiar parts of everyday life. Zinc contributes to maintaining all three in their normal condition. Its role also reaches into a process taking place throughout the body: making proteins.

The scientific name is normal protein synthesis. Proteins are materials the body makes and uses for many different jobs. Zinc contributes to that process, and every RERISE sachet includes 2.7 mg, supplied as zinc citrate.

ChromiumNormal macronutrient metabolism 55 µg138% NRV

Making sense of the food on your plate.

Carbohydrates, fats and proteins are the main nutrient groups in food, known as macronutrients. After a meal, the body processes them through many different reactions. Together, those processes are called macronutrient metabolism.

Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism. Each sachet includes 55 µg as chromium picolinate. That is the specific nutritional role behind this small amount in the formula; you can compare the one- and two-sachet amounts below.

How the formula becomes Lemon & Lime

The minerals and vitamins are one part of RERISE. The other is the Lemon & Lime you taste. Four parts of the recipe bring together citrus, tartness, aroma and sweetness.

Citric acid: the tart note

Citric acid brings tartness to the blend. That sharp edge is part of the flavour balance, alongside the lemon, lime and stevia sweetness.

Lemon and lime: the citrus character

Lemon juice powder and lime juice powder bring the two named citrus ingredients into the sachet. Together with the natural lemon flavouring, they give RERISE its Lemon & Lime character.

Natural lemon flavouring: another layer

Natural lemon flavouring sits alongside the juice powders in the recipe. It contributes to the lemon flavour, bringing another part of the citrus character into the finished drink.

Stevia: the sweet note

Steviol glycosides from stevia provide sweetness. They sit alongside the tart citrus notes in a drink we describe as neither too sweet nor too salty. RERISE is zero sugar when prepared as directed. Contains sweetener.
